The Black Student Union is a social club at Prairie State College that is dedicated to celebrating culture and community. We are interested in spreading joy, lifting each other up, and making our college community a better place to be. The BSU is open to all who are willing to join us; I am of course mainly referring to Black students, but this can also include any trusted allies that Black students choose to bring along with them. The BSU is best known for hosting events and activities for students to enjoy on campus. This has included casual fun – such as film viewings or parties– as well as more community-oriented things, like donation drives or workshops.
